Hi, I’m Emily!
Nearly 12 years ago I stepped into my first yoga class and loved it immediately. Over time that love grew into a calling. A decade later I became a certified yoga instructor, and for the past two years I’ve been teaching students in a variety of settings.
Sow and Flow was born from the places I feel most alive, my hands in the soil and my feet on the mat.
For 14 years my family and I have grown and preserved food, raised chickens and bees, and gathered people around our table on our little piece of the earth we call Red Comb Farm. It is my favorite place in the world, and I feel blessed every day to share it with my husband and our three sons.
I’m reminded
I have always loved gathering people and creating spaces where we can slow down, share a meal, and feel a sense of belonging. I believe we were created for community, and there is always room for one more chair.
Working in the garden brings me joy and satisfaction like nothing else. Growing food has taught me patience, humility, and trust in my Creator. The land reminds me that growth can’t be rushed, beautiful things grow among the weeds, and nourishment begins at the root.
My Hope
Yoga offers me the same lessons through the body. On the mat I practice presence as I listen to my body, my breath, and the moment as it is. Here softness and strength exist together.
Sow and Flow is where these loves meet. It honors the connection between body and nourishment, movement and stillness, effort and ease. Here, yoga and farming are reflections of the same truth: when we show up with care and attention, growth follows.
My hope is that Sow and Flow gives you a place to root down, breathe deeply, and reconnect — with yourself, with others, and with the food that sustains us all.
